Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026. This policy applies to the website class4lasers.at and describes what data is collected here and how it is processed.

2. Hosting and Server Log Files
This website is hosted with Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). When you access the site, the server automatically records technical access data (including IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser type, referring URL) in server log files. This data is used solely to ensure the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest) and is not combined with other data sources. A data processing agreement is in place with Hetzner; further information: hetzner.com/legal/privacy-policy.
3. Registration Form (Typeform)
Registration for Class4Lasers events takes place via an embedded form provided by our partner Typeform. When you open the registration section, a script from Typeform is loaded; technical data (e.g. your IP address) may be transmitted to Typeform in the process. The form itself collects:
- Name, company/institution, role
- Email address, phone number
- Preferred date (Steyr or Waidhofen/Ybbs)
- Sector (industry / education / public sector / other) and topics of interest
- Whether you are interested in a free on-site demo and/or a one-month pilot
- An optional free-text field
The purpose of this processing is to organise the event, to respond to your registration, and — where indicated by you — to arrange a demo or pilot. The legal basis is your consent given when submitting the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, where the request concerns a demo/pilot, the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Typeform processes the form data on our behalf as a data processor; for details on Typeform's own data handling, see Typeform's Privacy Policy.
4. Retention Period
Data collected as part of your registration is stored for the purpose of carrying out the respective event. If you express interest in a free on-site demo or a pilot, your data is additionally stored for the duration of the resulting collaboration. Once the respective purpose no longer applies, the data is deleted unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.
5. External Links
This website links to external resources, including www.diginvision.com, www.patrickpammer.com and the Typeform registration form. These external contents are governed by the respective provider's own privacy policy, over which we have no control.
6. Local Storage of Your Language Preference
When you switch between German and English, or dismiss the related banner, this website technically stores your language preference in your browser's localStorage. This information stays on your device only, is never transmitted to a server, and is not used for tracking.
7. No Analytics/Tracking of Our Own
Class4Lasers does not use any analytics or tracking tools of its own. The only external connection actively loaded is the Typeform registration form described in Section 3.
8. Your Rights
Under the GDPR you generally have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection to processing (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in Austria the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
